The EPORO was developed from the BR23C robot car (shown at CEATEC JAPAN 2008). Focusing on the behavioral pattern of a school of fish which can avoid obstacles while swimming without colliding into each other, Nissan utilized three fish behavior rules-collision avoidance, traveling side-by-side and approaching - as the EPORO’s traveling patterns.</description>

The EV prototype is part of Nissan’s substantial research and development program on zero-emission vehicles.  The production vehicle to be introduced in 2010 will have a unique bodystyle that is not based on any existing Nissan model.  As well as the all-electric vehicle, Nissan will introduce an original HEV in Japan and the U.S. in FY2010, which carries the first rear-wheel drive hybrid powertrain.  The HEV prototype is equipped with a rear-wheel drive hybrid system which is under development to improve environmental performance while also pursuing Nissan&apos;s objectives of &quot;fulfilling driving pleasure.&quot;</description>

(NISMO) announced, on February 27, their global motorsport programme for 2009.&amp;#32;&amp;#32;In order to offer &quot;Passionate Driving&quot;, Nissan continues to participate in the SUPER GT series, GT500 class in 2009, which is the highest level in Japanese domestic motorsports, with the Nissan GT-R. Nissan will also support grassroots activities in select countries outside of Japan to help nurture the motorsports culture.  For the team composition for the SUPER GT, this year’s line-up of NISMO, HASEMI MOTORSPORT, TEAM IMPUL and KONDO RACING will deploy one car each for a total of four Nissan GT-Rs that will race in the GT500 class series. Kunihiko Kakimoto remains as general manager in charge of Nissan related teams with the NISMO team managed by Yutaka Suzuki.</description>
