Doug doesnt really want to meet Carrie at an important client party does everything in his power to shave time including skipping lunch, snacks and dinner - off his double shift to surprise Carrie at the event. Doug changes into his borrowed suit in the buildings elevator, which unbeknownst to him is private, and greets guests in his underwear when the doors open directly into the reception. Doug manages to charm Carrie and the clients, but his shameless search for a morsel of food at the drinks only affair leaves a lasting impression - two raw eggs, a pickled carrot, sake, ten-odd breath mints and a cigar on the elevator carpet.

Doug lies to Carrie so that he can play mud football with his buddies and ends up sick in bed, plagued by guilt, watching reruns and old movies. While sleeping, he projects himself into the role of Ralph Kramden of The Honeymooners and his problems with Carrie are easily wrapped up in 22 minutes not so in real life. The production staff and cast spent hours watching and rewatching episodes of the classic television series The Honeymooners and the movie Brian's Song . Yes, they are fans, but more importantly, they had to recreate the set and costumes of both for an episode that has Doug Heffernan dreaming of himself in the roles of Ralph Kramden and Brian Piccalo. Kevin James wrote the episode, along with his partner Rock Reuben, which has him projecting himself, via a dream, into both roles. Leah Remini had fun recreating the Audrey Meadows role of Alice and Victor Williams not only had fun doing an impression of Ed Norton, but also nailed his recreation of Billy Dee Williams as Gail Sayers in one take.

A rollicking visit with Deacons three-year-old reminds Doug how much he loves kids, and prompts a conversation with Carrie about starting a family. Though Carrie has never warmed to the idea, she is finally starting to consider the possibility of having a baby, but shes also concerned that motherhood will stifle her career. Dougs enthusiasm is tempered slightly when he considers the reality of being a parent. It is only during a romantic tryst that Dough and Carrie actually come down to deciding whether to get pregnant or not.
