In yet another shocking case, a woman has been molested in broad daylight in a posh Bangalore neighbourhood. The 28 year-old software consultant was molested by an auto rickshaw driver on Saturday in the up-market C V Raman Nagar area of the city. The incident happened after an argument between the victim and the driver over the rickshaw fare.

Indian officials in Saudi have stepped in to secure the release of 14 Indian labourers allegedy held captive. The workers allege they are being theatened against complaining to authorities. The officers have reached Jizan to verify the situation and take suitable action. However, one of the labourers Rakesh Singh claims that enroute to meet the embassy officials, they were threatened with dire consequences if they complained against the employers.

The Sub Divisional Magistrate’s report probing Ruchika's expulsion claims she was singled out as there were 135 other cases of non-payment of fees in the school, but no such action was taken against any of them. Releasing the findings of the enquiry on Thursday (January 7), Chandigarh Home Secretary, Ram Niwas said that the School's decision to expel Ruchika was arbitrary and biased.

'Nitin feared for his safety in Australia'

Speaking to TIMES NOW, 21-year-old Nitin Garg’s family slammed the Australian government for not being able to protect Indian students living in Australia. Nitin was stabbed to death in Melbourne on Sunday (January 3). Relatives and friends reveal that Nitin was threatened with a knife about a year ago and that he feared for his life. His family has urged the Australian government to act as soon as possible. His family members claim say there was no apparent reason for the attack. They say he was a law-abiding boy who had no enemies. Nitin's family members will be going to Melbourne to collect his body.

Fierce encounter between terrorists and security forces continues to rage on in Lal Chowk, Srinagar on Thursday (January 7), with two terrorists holed up inside Punjab Hotel, located in the heart of the city. Security forces are expected to begin their final assault. So far, one policeman has been killed in the attack and atleast six CRPF jawans have been injured. Six civilians, including a video journalist have been injured in the attack.
