San Diego, California -Trading in his sleigh once again, St. Nick arrived in a flashy fire engine Saturday night to the community of Little Italy, escorted by the by the San Diego Fire Department and Mayor. Families said they could feel the holiday spirit in the air, "We really just wanted to come down and be apart of the community, see friends and family - and see Santa to tell him what we wanted for Christmas." As the line of kids stretched around the block, you can be sure Santa got an ear full of wishes. Santa said, "Ho HO HO, I hope all the little boys and girls out there have been nice all year! Merry Christmas to one and ALL!" Jimmy (age 6), "I love Santa".

## Shot 02/06/2008. ## The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department said the plane of a local pilot missing since Saturday was found in Kern County according to Kern County Search & Rescue. The Kern County Sheriff's Department said 45-year-old Christopher Kidd took off from Valley Acres in a red-and-white Harmon Rocket on Saturday. He left for New Cuyama and never landed. The wreckage was found 7 miles south of Maricopa in Kern County. He was scheduled to land on his family's farm 13 miles west of New Cuyama. There had been no sightings of Kidd at any airports in Kern, Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo counties until Wednesday's discovery. Kidd was said to be an experienced pilot. A Santa Barbara reporter said as many as 7 aircraft had been searching for Kidd's plane. ## qc- Alan

We tracked Santa and Mrs. Claus all over town for laughs. This guy gets around – LAX at Luxor, Hart & Huntington at The Palms, Qua Baths & Spa in Caesars Palace, eating at Mesa Grill with Robin Leach – even kicking it with celebrities Chris Evans and Kyle Howard. Mrs. Claus never really left the Sahara. Not sure if they’re staying for New Year’s, but we’ll be watching.
