SAY HELLO TO VIDEO 200! Since this is a special mark, I wanted to make the video special too! This is a 1992 single axle Mack MR 5spd manual transmission with a 20 yard Pak-Mor front load body that serves the Florida Institute of Technology — as the campus’s ONLY garbage truck. This Pak-Mor body was originally meant for use with a Volvo chassis. When F.I.T. bought the body they purchased a 1992 Mack MR chassis that was custom fitted in Mexico to the Pak-Mor body. The tailgate is NOT original to the truck and had to be custom fitted to the body to replace the original one that failed. The driver of the truck told me that parts for this truck are VERY HARD to find and when they do get replacement parts, many times extra work is required to make the parts work properly. Sometimes parts they are able to get are SO old that they need to be repaired and/or modified prior to use.
