(Boyle) I’m trying to be a professional singer. (Simon) And why hasn’t it worked out so far Susan? (Boyle) I haven’t been given the chance before.”Singing- “I dreamed a dream of time gone by…” (applause)Boyle’s underdog performance is sparking an emotional tidal wave of response on the Internet:Entertainment Weekly raves, “The unstyled, un-hip, un-kissed Ms. Boyle let me feel, for the duration of one blazing show stopping ballad, the meaning of human grace. She pierced my defenses. She reordered the measure of beauty.
