Joey Molland's Badfinger LIVE @ Hippiefest Badfinger was a rock/pop band formed in Swansea, Wales, in the early 1960s, and one of the earliest representatives of the power pop genre. During the early 1970s the band was touted as the heir apparent to The Beatles, partly because of their close working relationship with the 'Fab Four', but also because of their sound. However, it was the meteoric rise and harrowing demise of Badfinger that cemented their name in rock history journals, and became a cautionary tale for the rock music industry and the artists that it attracts.
