Un clip du groupe de rock US ; Bob Seger and the silver bullet band. Robert Clark "Bob" Seger est né au Henry Ford Hospital de Detroit, Michigan. Il a grandi à Dearborn, dans la banlieue de Detroit, jusqu'à l'âge de 6 ans, au moment ou sa famille déménagea à Ann Arbor, Michigan. Bob Seger a débuté sa carrière musicale dans les années soixante à Ann Arbor, et ensuite au alentours de Detroit, en tant que chanteur et leader de Bob Seger and the Last Heard, puis du Bob Seger System. En 1974 il forme le Silver Bullet Band, le groupe avec qui il connaitra enfin le succès. Les albums "Live Bullet" en 1976, fruit d'une gigantesque tournée, puis "Night Moves" qui contient plusieurs hits, l'installeront définitivement comme un des plus fameux songwriters américains. Ensuite, Bob Seger connaitra un succès continu avec des chansons comme Hollywood Nights, We've Got Tonight, Fire Lake et Against the Wind. Ses titres les plus connus sont Old Time Rock & Roll (qui apparait dans la bande-son du film Risky Business) et Like a Rock. Bob Seger a également co-écrit une chanson pour les Eagles : le titre Heartache Tonight (qui fut classé numéro 1 aux États-Unis), sur leur album de 1979 The Long Run.

Bob Seger (born May 5, 1945) is an American rock and roll singer-songwriter and musician. After years of local Detroit-area success, recording and performing in the mid-1960s, Seger achieved superstar status by the mid-1970s and continuing through the 1980s with the Silver Bullet Band. A roots rocker with a classic raspy, shouting voice, Seger was first inspired by Little Richard and Elvis Presley. He wrote and recorded songs that dealt with blue-collar themes. Seger has recorded many rock and roll hits, including "Night Moves", "We've Got Tonight", "Like a Rock" and also co-wrote the Eagles number one hit "Heartache Tonight." His iconic signature song "Old Time Rock and Roll" was named one of the Songs of the Century in 2001. With a career spanning five decades, Seger continues to perform and record today. Seger was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
