On November 16th, 15-year old Vada Vasquez was hit by a stray bullet meant for a gang member. The bullet narrowly missed paralyzing or killing her but she was released from the hospital and is expected to recover.Early Sunday morning a 16-year old girl was hit by a stray bullet that tore through her chest. She is in stable condition. Issi Dominguez wasn’t as lucky.

Authorities say a boy has been struck and killed by a freight train in Laurel. Prince George’s County fire spokesman Mark Brady says a boy who appears to be 13 years old was hit early Thursday by a southbound CSX Corp. train.

u-n-m hospital confirmed a 12- year-old los alamos boy — hit by a truck last night -- has died. los alamos police are still trying to determine what exactly happened. valerie castro is live in los alamos with tonight’s top story. valerie? a memorial has already been set up here at the crosswalk where the accident happened -- not too far away from los alamos middle school. logan collins was transported to unm hospital last night -- late this afternoon -- officials confirmed that he died. los alamos police say the crash happened late yesterday when collins, a 7th grader at los alamos middle school got off a city bus. police say he walked in front of the bus and into a second lane of traffic when he was hit by a chevy avalanche truck. police say the driver hasn't been arrested or charged with anything at this point. "at this point we can't really comment, it's still under investigation however we do know that the roadway is quite wide there and the bus was pulled all the way to the right side of the roadway and at this point we are still putting the pieces of the investigation together."
