ET’s Mark Steines and "Everybody Loves Raymond" star Patricia Heaton made a heartbreaking trip to Sierra Leone in April with Lighthouse Medical Missions. Now they talk about how they had to choke back the emotion at some of what they observed. The focus of the journey was to service two medical clinics (in the towns of Makeni and Kenema) and to attend the dedication of a school in Kenema named for Patty's mother (Patricia Helen Hunt). A team of 38 doctors, nurses, and volunteers, led by Santa Monica pediatrician Dr. Robert Hamilton, accompanied them. The team met with President Ernest Bai Koroma, the first lady, and the U.S. Ambassador while in Freetown, and provided medical services to more than 2,500 men, women, and children in the form of medications, minor surgeries, and treating of wounds.

MMA with Yac&J - UFC Fighter Manny Gamburyan Interview Pt. 2

Gamburyan began his career in 1999 at the age of 17. He won his first three fights, then lost a decision to future lightweight champion Sean Sherk in 2001. His cousin Karo Parisyan nicknamed him "Pitbull" for the tenacity he displayed in the fight. In 2007, Gamburyan appeared on the reality show The Ultimate Fighter 5, fighting on Jens Pulver's team. His nickname was changed to "Anvil" for his UFC career because "Pitbull" was already taken by other UFC fighters such as Andrei Arlovski.[1] Manny defeated Noah Thomas by kimura lock in the preliminary round. In his next matchup, Gamburyan defeated Matt Wiman to advance to the semifinal round. In the semifinal round, Manny beat Joe Lauzon in a unanimous decision and advanced to the finale with Nathan Diaz. He was considered an underdog in each of his fights, in part due to his short stature. After the Lauzon fight, UFC president Dana White personally apologized to Gamburyan for doubting him. In the finale, Gamburyan controlled Diaz for the majority of the fight, but tapped out in the second round after dislocating his right shoulder on a successful takedown attempt.[3] Despite losing the show, Gamburyan secured a UFC contract with his performance. He won his next two UFC fights, defeating Nate Mohr by ankle lock at UFC 79 and Jeff Cox by guillotine choke at UFC Fight Night 13. Gamburyan raised some controversy in the Cox fight by delivering a spinning leg kick after feigning the mutual tap of gloves that is often seen at the beginning of the match. The crowd in attendance reacted with heavy booing. He was KOed by Rob Emerson at UFC 87 in 12 seconds, one of the fastest knockouts in UFC history. Gamburyan frequently uses the System of a Down song "Toxicity" as his entrance music. Like Gamburyan, the members of System of a Down are of Armenian heritage.

The Chibi Project - Megaman / Blending / Firearms

This all started at Anime Boston 2005 where Megaman was put into a blender. We attempted to chop him into bits, but he was just too tough for the blender. We ended up destroying the blender instead. This was the first failed experiment in the history of The Chibi Project. Wanting to get our revenge, we handed Megaman over to our friend Buford. Buford likes firearms and has quite a collection. He brought Megaman out to the firing range along with a Kimber Stainless 1911 (semi-auto pistol, .45 ACP), Yugoslavian military M59/66 SKS (semi-auto rifle, 7.62x39mm Soviet), Remington 870 Express Magnum with 26" barrel and imp. cyl. choke (pump shotgun, 12 gauge), Winchester "white box" .45 ACP FMJ target ammo, Wolf 7.62x39mm Soviet FMJ ammo, Remington Express Magnum 12 gauge 00 buckshot shells, and Federal Hi-Power #6 shotshell. Megaman didn’t stand a chance. Working his way up through his arsenal, he took out Megaman's head, arms, and legs. All that remained by the end were tiny pieces. Megaman is no more.
