The elephant is one of few animals that recognize self in mirror, also one of the few animals that can throw things. Elephants do a lot of learning, and have to learn how to use their trunk. They also learn human language. Young are mischievous. They play trip keepers and can spook a bird. They understand what others are thinking at an early age. They have a sense of humor. Live in matriarchial society, of females. Males leave, but come in later for breeding. The Asian bull elephant in this video is considered the tallest Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) in North America.
