Solar batteries by Interstate Batteries. I changed my solar system power from 12vdc to 24vdc very easily. The solar array now has a 24vdc charge controller and a 24vdc battery storage system.

Interstate Batteries tied together for 24vdc for my PV system, I call my small solar structure. Interstate Batteries are great for Photvoltaic (PV) systems because they are a very reliable battery, available in most cities at any Interstate Battery location and are easily configurable to most PV arrays. My PV array was a 12vdc system until I changed it to a 24vdc system to accommodate the stronger 24vdc pumps required to pump my solar hot water up the hill to and from my home. The Interstate Batteries I chose were the 6vdc model, U2200UTL Deep Cycle.

Solar Charge Controller - Pro Star 30

Pro-Star 30 solar charge controller in operation. I got the charge controoler from www.affordable-solar-com. The charge controller worked on my 12vdc PV array and also when I converted my PV array over to a 24vdc system. All I did was disconnect everything, rewire the PV array to a 24vdc output, reconfigured my Interstate Batteries to a 24vdc system, then hooked everything up to the Pro-Star 30 again and it took off and worked perfect.
