Our broodmares and our superb, young stallion, Gandalf the Grey, give us a great selection of sales horses from foals to well started equitation mounts. We are also a home for horse retirement with stables, lush pastures and mild winters.

Who Do You Like? Meet the Horse Racing Team

Do you like to play the ponies and think you know how to spot the winners? Find out what it takes to get to the big day. A horse is probably one of the most popular domestic animals. Horses have provided many forms of support and entertainment for man. Sometimes a horse for sale ad is for horse mating often with thoroughbreds. You will rarely meet a horse with no name at a race track because their owners usually come up with names that they think will be lucky. If you ever visit a track and are able to go behind the scenes, you will see a lot of trailers with and without horses, depending upon when you arrive- the AM work out starts at the crack of dawn- often before the resident roosters start to crow. Between workouts the horses are kept in barns or stables to prevent injury. Sometimes they get lonely and may have a goat or other farm animal to keep these social creatures company. The jockeys also keep the horses company on the track- horse riding at maximum speed.

The sunlight was beautiful on the way home from college today, and I was already for lens flare and field dust... and then when I got out it had all disappeared. But the sunset was to gorgeous to ignore, so I improvised. Oh! And I got my third university offer today :) The music is by Horses Brawl. They’re a Medieval folk group from here in Norfolk and I love them into little bits. They do the most incredible things with their instruments. +6 stills in comments the film is SOOC, but the stills have been tweaked...

Today, the range has been subdivided and developed, the water sucked away by cities, the grass thinned by years of drought. With the beef industry consolidated far from Southern California, raising cattle in these mountains is as viable a business as selling surfboards in Nebraska.
