"The sudden death of superstar Bruce Lee was a most tragic and untimely event.Like most other children, Bruce Lee enjoyed playing childish pranks and had little interest in school. His ability to absorb new ideas more than compensated for his lack of interest in schoolwork. At an early age, he developed a tremendous interest in music and martial arts. Later, when he left for the States, he became interested in combining his skill in martial arts with a practical and realistic philosophy.While in the States he continued his study of philosophy at the University of Washington where he met and married his wife Linda. After leaving University, he began teaching his own style of martial arts, Jaet Kwun Do, which won him fame and place of honour in American martial arts circle.In an attempt to promote Jaet Kwun Do, Bruce returned to Hong Kong to play the leading role in a number of films such as THE BIG BOSS, FIST OF FURY and THE WAY OF THE DRAGON. These films not only smashed all box offices in the Far East but also caught the imagination of western audiences. His films pioneered the way for Mandarin movies in the international market. Warner Brothers invited him to play the leading role in his last picture, the first co production between East and West, "ENTER THE DRAGON".Perhaps the greatest tragedy was that Bruce Lee died just two weeks before this his last film was released, skyrocketing him to international stardom."
