Like Woody, many of Ryan’s songs take a Populist stance. His is a voice for the poor and middle classes; for anyone who is struggling in today's world where those in power are continually taking us to war, outsourcing jobs to foreign countries, and in general, ruining our economy.

This is many times the first waltz of the evening by many traditional Cajun bands, but you will never see it played on a piano accordion! I wanted to do a little demonstration to show that Cajun music can be played on the piano accordion and it can be made to sound pretty darn traditional. The trick is is really knowing what notes to "double" as the Cajuns say, and of course really knowing the tune and the "Cajunisms." Hope this helps some who may have only have a piano accordion (and not the 10 button diatonic that the music is traditionally played on) but are interested in getting a more traditional Cajun sound. Lache pas la patate!
