This is my first attempt at completing the Fireworks origami model from the EXCELLENT demo that can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ORfFjxf_Rk It took me about 90 minutes to complete it and it was worth every minute. TIP #1: You don't need expensive origami paper: I used ordinary colored kraft wrapping paper (red & green) and cut it into 6" squares myself. Unfortunately, my cuts were ever-so-slightly off (only 1/16" or less) but it makes a difference. Without accurate cuts, accurate folds are impossible. But with accurate cuts, folding is not only more accurate, it's also faster and easier. TIP #2: Take your time if you cut your own paper! Even with the obvious flaws, the finished model was completely functional and I impressed even myself with it! A HUGE thank you to AdamsSara for taking the time to put together and post such a great demo! By following it, I'm convinced anyone with just a little bit of patience and perseverance will have success with this model.
