Screen gems Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury are taking the stage of The Great White Way in "A Little Night Music." ET was there for opening night on Sunday. Catherine was happy to debut the production in front of her supportive family, including husband Michael Douglas. She told ET how the stage compares to the screen: "It’s just really different. You can never ever, ever get that immediacy that you get on stage, live theatre. It's just something that I've missed and now that I'm doing it again, I've realized how much I enjoy it and how much us actors enjoy that applause." The legendary Angela Lansbury praised her co-stars, saying, "The company was very up tonight and Catherine Zeta-Jones was just superlative, so we hope that we have a lovely hit on our hands."

The movie began shooting in April 2008 in New York. Sandy (Catherine Zeta-Jones) mother of 2 children (a girl & a boy), is leading a suburban married life with her husband, until she catches her husband cheating, which got accidentally recorded on video. she leaves her husband, shifts to newyork, finds an apartment and a job. Aram Finklestein (Justin Bartha)is a 25 year old guy, drifting through life, after a french girl through her brother, and gets married to her, to realize that she married him to get a green card in usa, and her brother is not really her brother. sandy meets aram in a coffee shop, and later at a women’s association, for a training workshop on dealing with big city behavior, especially as a woman. here also she meets aram, who's a trainer's assistant. impressed by aram's sensitive nature, she request's aram to baby sit her children, and the children get along very well with him. this leads to more baby sittings, and aram finds it appealing and fulfilling, though aram's parents, especially his mother is very critical (this mother character is bit stereotypical of 'unintentionally hyper pressurizing mom... the way aram seems to deal with her in a calm way is no less superheroic than schwarzennegger zigzagging through machine gun bullets). soon, sandy realizes she needs aram as a nanny, and aram connects with the children & sandy in an incredible way. the tension between aram and sandy sets afire on many occassions, with a dreamy quality. aram and sandy start dating and fall for each other, though sandy becomes sensitive to comments from others about being a 'cradle snatcher', and she being a boss falling for her nanny... indicating how different the reactions from people would be, if sandy was a man, instead of woman.
