Dirtbag Challenge 2009 - Low Rent Chopper Build Off

Rules No Harleys in the show. It aint that we don’t like ‘em, in fact some of us own one or two. It’s just that we think it gives everyone an equal chance. There is a story to this rule, but we aint got time to tell it here. Thousand bucks build limit. Nuthin’s changed here. That includes purchase price of your project, all parts, paint and doodads. Judging by the quality of last years entries, that should still be plenty. You must be able to ride your entry. We’ve always wanted this to be about usable bikes and four blocks hardly seems like a challenge, so this year we’re all gonna go riding. If you want to enter the show you must complete a two or three hour ride. More details to follow, as we’re still working it out, looks like we’re gonna leave around 11am and be back before 3pm. One month build time. There has always been some confusion about this, so here it is spelled out. One month before the date of the Dirtbag Challenge we will announce the start, this has become known as the “go” date. If you start your project before this date then you’re obviously a loser. This is why we don’t publish the event date in advance. Of course we have no real way of enforcing this rule so we rely on your honesty, let’s face, it no one likes a cheat. You only have to look at the entries from previous years to see know that this should be quite long enough. Voting Only entrants to the show will vote on the winning bikes. We feel that only a Dirtbag can judge a Dirtbag. There will probably also be some type of “peoples choice” award, that visitors to the show will vote on.
