The apparatus is a 1993 Seagrave High Pressure Engine. I think the soundtrack was just fresh air.

Just a quick video post playing with the 16:9 setting on a regular DV camcorder. The lighting was quite awful. Anyhow there are accompanying photographs I took on Flickr (just look me up fld1970), they're in the Vlog Meet Up album. The photographs are better lit. Next month I'll have something better for the lighting. I hope this 16:9 works fine with iTunes and the iPod. I have a 4 year old mini DV camera. I don't want to go HD yet because my web syndication doesn't really need it. If people want to see my pores or the capillaries in my eyes I will be happy to give them a hi res picture of me if they can't find one on Flickr.

This episode features a quick review of Jamie Saft dubs on museum montage, a look back to my 1991 share in Brooklyn with records that came out that year and played on the turntable. Everyone in the photographs have moved on to much better and brighter things. The pictures are from my Brooklyn photo album on Flickr. I used 35mm B&W film and processed right at home. My rig back then was a student Minolta and a toy plastic Action Tracker camera. I still take plenty of photographs. I didn't spend time retouching the scanned B&W negatives. All the media was shared within the Mac iLife suite. My vlog and home movies would not have been possible without an easy to use Mac.

It is a weekend montage piece I made on my time off from my M-F 7:30 to 3:30 desk duty job I have. The music featured is the Ruins and some stuff from You Tube(youube.com/5secondmovies). There are clips from the news, Mario Savio, Howard Zinn, and Jerry Miller. Tell me- is it better to subvert than to speak out? It's best to take action, to do something before it's too late. This episode's links are Save Darfur, National Priorities Project, The Innocence Project

15 MB 3 min Independence day for me, as an immigrant, holds very special meaning. Number 1 and still is survival. The Philippines, where I came from, if you were poor, like me, you had 2 choices. You'd either go hungry or become a priest. Luckily for me, my grandparents and parents were American citizens which meant it wasn't a problem becoming one myself in 1983. Besides having a better chance of survival here in America- there's also ways for people to get ahead in life compared to where I was born. As long as you work hard, avoid drugs and alcohol, and be peaceful- you will better see the choices you have here in America. It's not only about staying alive but the groups of people you spend time with. Here in America, you can live in immigrant communities or assimilate. It may not be as simple as that but my opinion is if you work hard, avoid drugs & alcohol, and be peaceful- improving one's lot is easier here than it is in the Philippines.I believe I'm more accomplished here in America due to its combination of free speech, civil rights, prosperity, and free enterprise.

This is an infra red photomontage set to music I made using Garageband, Dent du Midi, The Who, and an unknown midi programmer from this site. My photography can be found at my website, slideshow, and Flickr. I still process silver for the infra red film. Once I get better I think I'll stop for environmental reasons. The song rendition is something I would hear in the subway during rush hour. Be forewarned.

The only real place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is with the Renzo Gracie Team in NYC. Granted you have to apply yourself, just with everything else. I only have a blue belt and I’ve only practiced lightly. I competed for the Renzo Gracie Team in only a handful of sport tournaments (about 5) in the NY City area. My career in firefighting put a stop to the training and competing due to time constraints. I also don't want to blow out any of my joints off-duty. My job puts a roof over my head and keeps the bills paid. Anyhow, I've gotten injured on the job- knee and back. I think I'll train again just to stay practiced.I competed at 139 lb and below &149 lb and below. I competed at adult beginner, intermediate, and master (30 yr. & older). I walk at 155 lb now at 5' 4", which makes me overweight by a several pounds according to BMI. Go visit renzogracie.com
