Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven Rikimaru Mission 10 Tenrai Fortress 2 Boss: Tenrai You have to fight him 3 or 4 times (depending on your choice in level 6), with cutscenes in between. Basic Strategy (1st fight): Run around him in a large circle. This will cause his attacks to miss you. When he causes the rock spikes to come up out of the ground, he's vulnerable. Since they go in a straight line, spiralling around him brings you right up beside him while he's attacking. If he throws projectiles, jump over them. He only has 150 hp. Basic Strategy (2nd fight): Just avoid his attacks for a few moments (it takes 26 seconds); you can't hurt him right now anyway. It's a stupid part to waste time before you get another cutscene. Do note that his ground attack (where the spikes come up) is different from here on out; it is no longer linear, but instead is like in a spiral. Basic Strategy (3rd fight): Same tactics; run around him in a circle. This time, though, his rock spikes attack is not linear, so if he hits the ground to do it, keep your distance. Otherwise, let his attacks miss you and then hit him. He has 200 hp this time. Basic Strategy (4th fight): If you chose to use regular steel (back in Mission 6) then you get a slightly different ending here and you also get to skip this fight. But if you used part of the Shichishisto then you have to fight Tenrai a fourth time. His attacks are exactly the same as the thrid fight that you just did, so use the same tactics and it's over, plus for some reason your attacks do increased damage, so it's really a breeze. .
