When we spoke with Myrna - the bride to be and Suyanto (her fiancée) about their Next Day Edit we were given strict instructions by them that they didn’t want any slow moving sappy romantic stuff or over the top drama, what they did want was a production that was snappy & cheerful!!Anyone who edits video for a living will tell you that it is so much harder putting together fast moving pieces because you need much more usable footage, effects & filtering whereas for slower more elegant pieces you can stretch footage out and use longer sequences etc...Thankfully on the day, the couple provided us with plenty of usable footage and were absolutely thrilled with the final result which makes us even happier :)We hope you enjoy it too!!

Video on Canon 7D for G & O Entertainment

This is my first promo shot on a Canon 7D. It was shot with no crew (other than styling), available light, a Sigma 30mm 1.4 and a Sigma 18 - 200 all on a tripod or handheld with a Z Finder. We only had 2 hours to shoot the whole thing. This is the first cut, final edit will be up in about a week... the revolution is here...I know how long, complicated and expensive this shoot would have been only a few years ago. Bring it on!!!

Requiem For Herstory (Trailer)

This is the trailer for "Requiem For Herstory", a short film that I recently shot. It was directed by Minji Kang. I shot on the Sony EX1 with a Letus Extreme. I used a Nikon lens kit consisting of 16mm, 24mm, 50mm, 55mm (macro), 85mm, 105mm and an 80-200mm Nikon ED Zoom.

OPSU Aggies Football 2009 (Canon 7D Warm Up)

I filmed a video for OPSU Football last year... why not do another to get some practice with my new Camera?Let the Rolling Shutter.... Roll? While my first 7D video (Guymon at Midnight) was mostly setting up the camera on a tripod and hitting record, this video required focus shifts, excessive tripod movement as well as use of my GlideCam Pro HD. I also, for the first time, used the 720/60fps video setting to do some cool speed shifts in post.For the record: I never want to use a GlideCam again... ever. I was never a fan of it anyway. I am just no good at it.Filming football is WAY easier on an XHA1... but the bokeh and image control really makes the effort worth it. Every shot, even shots of nothing really that interesting, came out gorgeous. The 7D made it pretty hard to cut out a lot of the video.The last shot of this video is one of my favorites. I saw it coming.... but said, "Screw it. I can take a hit."Music: Ludacris - Number One Spot

GHS Band Christmas Concert - Editors Choice

Band concerts are typically one camera that zooms in.... out... pans... rinse and repeat. For this concert I wanted to roll with 3 cameras with one in the back and one on each wing of the stage. As a last minute decision we went with a behind the back curtain shot. It seemed to work out pretty cool... though my attempts to move the tripod while filming didn’t turn out to be as hot as I hoped.This was also the first time I had the pleasure of getting to work with a Zoom H4n Handy. The band director used it to record the master audio used in this video and tossed the file my way. Amazing raw audio.We ran with two XL2's and an unmanned (wide shot) XHA1 running in SD. PMW EX1R - The Sniper

Got the EX1R for only about 3 hours from the Sony Japan counterparts through Expandore Electronics, so i decided to mobilize the team, come up with a short concept, shoot and produce a quick snap preview on the Sony EX1R. As an owner of the previous EX1, i must admit i am tremendously happy with the improvements on the camcorder.
