Nonnative plants also increase the fire risk to adjacent homes and the rare and endangered animals living in these habitats.

The site is located near Rogers, Arkansas. Fire is a critical component of grasslands as it helps to remove thatch, return nutrients to the soil, and limit invasion by trees and shrubs.

Caffeine, Your Kids, and YOU

Caffeine. It seems like its everywhere these days. Coffees, teas, and energy drinks are common sources of caffeine enjoyed by adults. But ... all » for our young people, the primary source of caffeine is in carbonated beverages. Caffeine content in these beverages can range from twenty to fifty, sixty, even seventy milligrams. Now, its important to realize that kids these days don't have to go to some shady coffee shop or cafe to get caffeinated beverages; many can get some from their friends, from school, or even from their own home.

Through interviews with exhibit curators, zoo representatives, and zoo enthusiasts the goals and challenges of these facilities are explored with inter-cut footage of zoo patrons and animals in the exhibits.
