Norbert Rosing is an accomplished wildlife photogrpaher. I had the amazing opportunity to spend a day riding along with Mr. Rosing in Churchill, Manitoba while he tracked and photographed polar bears. We also found time to grab a quick interview about the course of his career and his techniques.

Der dänische TV-Sender TV2 zeigt ein Interview mit dem Chemiker Professor Dr. Niels H. Harrit über den Fund von Nanothermit im Staub von Ground Zero in seiner Hauptnachrichtensendung. Dr. Harrit von der Universität Kopenhagen ist einer der Wissenschaftler, die in den letzten zwei Jahren zusammen mit Professor Dr. Steven Jones und sieben anderen Kollegen, die Proben untersuchten und den wissenschaftlichen Bericht über den Fund des Sprengstoffs darin letzte Woche veröffentlicht haben. Durch den Fund von Nanothermit in den Proben des Staub aus Ground Zero ist der Beweis erbracht, die World Trade Center Gebäude wurden gesprengt, denn so ein Material dürfte gar nicht darin zu finden sein. Kleine rote und graue Splitter welche von diesem Sprengstoff stammen, wurden von Professor Steven E. Jones Doktor der Physik im Staub entdeckt und wissenschaftlich untersucht. So ein high-tech Sprengmittel kann man nicht im nächsten Laden kaufen, sondern stammt nur aus Militärbeständen. Interview with Randi Meyerson

Dr. Randi Meyerson is a veterinarian at the Toledo Zoo. She also chairs the Polar Bear Species Survival Plan for the American Zoo and Aquarium Association. She is closely involved with all issues concerning captive polar bears in North America. She played a leadership role in producing a comprehensive nutrition manual for polar bears in zoos as well as a husbandry manual and has been involved with a number of volunteer projects for Polar Bears International. This is an informal interview with Dr. Meyerson concerning the role of captive polar bears. Captive polar bear footage was provided by the San Diego Zoo.

In this program produced by Sharon Pieczenik and WYCTL Media, Erik Patel, PhD Candidate at Cornell University, discusses his efforts to save silky sifaka lemurs in Madagascar. Ninety-eight percent of Madagascar’s mammals, including the rare silky sifaka lemurs, exist nowhere else on Earth. Because of their white fur, and their amazing ability to fly through the forest, silky sifaka lemurs are called ‘angels of the forest.’ But silkies are one of the world’s top 25 most endangered primates. If silky sifaka lemurs were to disappear from Madagascar, then they would disappear from our world. International scientists and local Malagasy conservationists are fighting for the survival of this exceptional species and its irreplaceable habitat.
