1 Fly Like a Kid Again A motion-based video game using C++, DirectX, and a marker-less motion capture system for a more intuitive game-play experience. The video game recognizes specific 3D body positions and motions to change characters and adjust controls in real-time. All work for the game is done by me; graphics were created in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, 3D models were created in Autodesk 3D Studio Max, and video game code was written in Microsoft Visual Studio software. 2 Monster Hunt A personal project that I created from some early models for a monster film I plan on making some time in the future. The character, George, is walking through the kitchen looking for a monster that scared him earlier in the night. All work for this image is done by me; 3D models were made and rigged in Autodesk 3D Studio Max and post processing was done in Autodesk Combustion. All the models use simple shading from 3D Studio Max and no custom textures were painted. Z-Depth was rendered in 3D Studio Max and taken into Combustion to add depth of field. Noise, glow, and blur were also added in Combustion. 3 Lady Bug A personal project that I created earlier this year on a whim. All work for this image is done by me; 3D models were made in Autodesk 3D Studio Max, leaf textures were made in Adobe Photoshop, and post processing was done in Autodesk Combustion. All the models use simple shading from 3D Studio Max, but custom textures were made for the leaves using images I scanned of leaves on campus. Noise, depth of field, blur, and color correction were added in Combustion. 4 Pirate and Princess A project where I was given one reference cartoon drawing of each character and asked to make them into 3D models for use with Autodesk MotionBuilder. All work for creating the 3D version of these characters was done by me. 3D models were made and rigged in Autodesk 3D Studio Max. All the models use simple shading from 3D Studio Max, but custom textures were painted for the face and body of both characters. 5 Pen and Ink 6 Grandfather Clock 7 The Reading Room An academic project that I created last Spring. The scene started with just the pen, ink, and grandfather clock models, but it eventually evolved into an entire room. All work for this scene was done by me; 3D models were made in Autodesk 3D Studio Max. All the models use simple shading from 3D Studio Max and no custom textures were painted.
