October 2006 Despite the minutemen and increased border surveillance, the number of Mexicans attempting to cross into Amer ...ica is increasing. We accompany three immigrants on their crossing. "For every 100 who try, only three make it", states one immigrant. But that doesn't put off would-be migrants. "These are people who have walked 2,000 miles to get here. They are going to cross". Chilango and Juan want to travel to America for work. Paisa is desperate to be re-united with his family after being deported. The route they have chosen is the most dangerous. The first river they come to is too dangerous to cross because of recent floods. They have to tiptoe around bears, dodge spotter drones and walk for days with no rest. Five days later, they make it to America.More

    Release Year: 2007

A group of nine illegal aliens travels north after crossing the U.S.-Mexico border on April 10, 2007. In the second scene ... of the video, the group's apparent guide later returns to Mexico on the same trail. Border crossings are surging in rural areas of California. The Border Patrol has deployed the vast majority of its resources away from the border at highway vehicle checkpoints well to the north. National Guard deployment in the area is random and inconsistent. As evidenced by this video the group travels with ease, likely to a safehouse or a load vehicle. A group such as this typically waits for the aforementioned checkpoints to close - as they do nearly everyday - then passes through completely unimpeded. Groups also regulary bypass vehicle checkpoints by simply hiking around them. Major stretches of the U.S.-Mexico border remain essentially wide open to human and narcotics trafficking in April of 2007, notwithstanding any proclamations to the contrary.More

To assist with funding this pilot program we accept contributions through www.paypal.com to the account USEvolutions@gmail.com Note: This video was previously posted without the clip of the Customs and Border Protection Agent; as we made attempts to secure his permission to use his image in the video. After a good faith attempt, we elected to blur his identity for his protection and run the clip as uniformed agents are typically only distinguishable by their facial features.More
