Should ban the metal 'artificial' bats. Started because of being cheaper, now not the case. Takes away from the true game.

That was funny sassy...lol. anyway, why do we wear gloves when we play ball? so we can catch the ball when it flies at our face.

For all of you people who think that metal bats are as safe as wood, just think of the trampoline effect it has and how much faster that ball would have traveled. Metal bats in pro ball? forget Bonds, everyone would break home records each tear. Thank you ,been umpiring for 21 years.

All you idiots who say we should outlaw metal bats or pitchers wear helmets are just being illogical. What's next, everybody must wear catchers gear, or maybe just ban all sports together. Every sport has inherit risk. Come on people, pull your heads out. It's a freak accident and that's it.

Helmets for pitchers should be mandatory after seeing this incident. Horrifying and it happens often. Simple enough to create. A helmet without a visor, lightweight and non restrictive. Perhaps we should wait until someone dies first!
