A Vote for Michigan Jobs

As the big three automakers continue to lose market share, production cutbacks and increasing layoffs have hit Michigan hard. Republicans hope voters will blame the state's faltering economy on Democratic incumbents Gov. Jennifer Granholm and Sen. Debbie Stabenow — both of whom are up for re-election in November. Outside Detroit in Macomb County, which has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, voters are split over which candidates they trust to bring back jobs and prosperity. The choice is especially important for former workers at Hofley Manufacturing Co., which recently closed its doors for the last time. Video by John W.
