"Bishops' Promenade", Norman Coke-Jephcott (1893-1962). Coke-Jephcott was born in Coventry, England and was admitted as a Fellow of the American Guild of Organists in 1912. In 1945 he was admitted to the Fellowship in the Canadian College of Organists and he received the honorary degree of the Doctor of Music form Ripon College in the same year. He was made a Fellow Trinity College, London, in 1947. His most important post was to be called as Organist and Master of the Choristers of the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, NYC in 1932 and he continued in that post until his retirement in 1953.
