Add a CommentEvery time she gets bad publicity about her weight, she uses it as an opportunity to point out the fact that, celebrity or not, she's a normal woman who fights the scale every day. I'm sure that she has made many women feel better about themselves because she is always open, honest, and easy to relate to. It can't be easy being in the public eye after losing so much weight knowing that the tabloids and paparazzi are wishing, hoping, praying that you start gaining it back.

If I was in a situation where I had plenty of money and I had a nice career as a singer, like Carnie, I would stick my middle finger in the face of every rude photographer I saw. In other words, I don't give a **** about what anybody thinks about me. I'm going to record my music, perform my concerts, and cash my paycheck. The rest of you can **** my ****. To me, happiness is being in a situation where I don't have to answer to anyone.

I wonder why people who are blessed with a good career in the entertainment industry give a crap about what some two-bit paparazzi pundit has to say about them. These crazed, salivating photographers would be working at McDonalds if they didn't have talented artists to leech off of. Carnie, ignore them all. I like your singing ability. Period. I'm not focused on the superficial things. Wilson Phillips should record some more songs.

Don't get surgery unless you REALLY need it. Some people die during anesthesia. Your stomach was created to break down food so the nutrients can be absorbed into your bloodstream. Don't mutilate your stomach!

Carnie, you have been my inspiration for so many years, thankyou for helping me save my life. Those low lifes only hurt, yet I don't understand how they can look themselves in the mirror, what they see will never be as beautiful as what we see. Thankyou Laurie

I know many people size 10 and under who are far less healthy than overweight me. I also had the surgery years ago, lost LOTS of weight, and gained some back and have lost some again. It is only a tool, and we still face every challenge we did before our surgery, plus some actually due to malnutrtion, etc. I commend Carnie for opening eyes of some ignorant people out there.

Just because people are overweight, it doesn't mean that we sit around all day and stuff our faces with cheeseburgers and doughnuts. I'm a very healthy eater (no refined sugars, limited carbs, no fried foods, only whole-grain breads, etc.), consuming only 1200-1500 calories per day, I exercise regularly, and I STILL battle with weight issues. So, please think before you insult an overweight person with your "fat and lazy" comments.

My heart goes out to carnie Wilson. Imagine having to live in the spotlight like that, where are your foibles are reported in the Meda. She seems like a lovely person. Think about her Father, and what a complete "nut Burger" he is. I say, you go Carnie and God Bless you.

It amazes me that there are so many God perfect and carrot chomping odor free people that are out there! I am neither big nor small BUT some of you freaks out there are also Sick for thinking that the anorexic look is both safe and healthy...Anorexia will kill you faster then being over weight..and it is not saying that I am condoning being heavy But there is two sides to that coin!
