This is pretty much how it was end-of-day Saturday 10 October 2009 at MetalFest III – eight or nine bands played Memorial Park in Haywood and a couple hundred people showed up to gawk and do some lazy afternoon head-banging – Psychogezer was sipping Anchor Steam through a straw from a plastic soda-cup from Subway – if yer careful with the foam, you can fit two beer into one of those cups and refill ‘tween sets – in this vid, Concrete Coffin reel out the sick stuff while eight or ten kids practice bounce-housin’ and stage diving – that’s the idea, right? have fun? – Psychogeezer thinks so, and today was awful fun – Bands4bands produced the event as a benefit for Salvation Army food closet, so the ‘geeze brought a couple cans of gourmet chicken-shrimp gumbo – tried to pick out food I might actually wanna eat rather than a can of beans or what – me’thinks they expected more people, lots more people, to show up – I hope the turnout doesn’t discourage Bands4bands from putting on a MetalFest IV next year – ‘cause MF III was FUCKIN’ FUN! –
