Carl Schlemowitz from Vicious Cycles was an early adopter of the 29" wheeled mountain bike. He proudly displayed a 29" bike at the 1999 Interbike show, and sent Dirt Rag a 29" Motivator for review back in Y2K. So it should come as no surprise to find Carl at the forefront of the 650B (or 27.5" as he likes to say) wheel size revolution.
