Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange star in HBO’s "Grey Gardens," the riches-to-rags story of two charming eccentrics who were relatives of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. The HBO film is based on a documentary made in 1975 by Albert and David Maysles, who spent six weeks with the reclusive mother ("Big Edie" Bouvier Beale, played by Lange) and daughter ("Little Edie" Bouvier Beale, played by Barrymore) capturing their everyday life in its raw, uncensored moments. "Grey Gardens" investigates the two Beale women's extraordinary bond, and why they chose to live in squalor and isolation in a decaying, 28-room house in East Hampton until someone finally notified Jackie of their condition. "Jackie-O was the one to step forward and help them save their house, clean things up, and kind of look after them," Jessica tells ET. "But it was too little too late."
