After a series of excellent concerts since club's reopening in autumn '07 it's time for the owners to get on stage. Free Blues Band was founded by brothers Andrzej & Marian Malcherek back in 1979 in their hometown Szczecin, Poland. Over the years the band has played all over the country and some european countries as well. They played all of the most important festivals gathering many awards and good critics. They played with such musicians as Carlos Johnson, Stan Skibby, Taj Mahal, Leszek Cichonski. In few recent years they toured as a backing band with Father of polish blues, Tadeusz Nalepa until his passing away in 2007, including his very last one on 12.08.2006. In 2004 they played with Steve Morse of Deep Purple opening Purple's concert at Szczecin's great arena stadium. In autumn same year they toured Poland with Chris Farlowe (ex-Colosseum) & Norman Beaker Band. The following year they played two concerts with the drummer Ian Paice of Deep Purple. FBB defines their music as rhythmic, dancing mixture of funky blues, soul and jazz elements. Their act includes own compositions, blues & rock standards and recently they've added the 'Deep Purple Tribute'. They have recorded 5 albums entirely with own compositions - the most recent is 'Big Game'. At present they are working on their new album on which Chris Farlowe sang one of their own songs 'I Don't Care'.
