Granada closedown Sept 1986 (#4)

From Mon 22 Sept 1986, here is another in this series of classic Granada closedown sequences that I recorded in the 80s. The final few moments of The Sweeney are followed by a programme trailer and an ad break. Charles Foster is the announcer on the late shift in Manchester. The much loved closedown theme music is the 'New Granada Theme' by Keith Mansfield - a specially commissioned piece which was used from 1977 until Granada went 24 hours on 13 Feb 1988. Sadly, from this date closedowns were consigned to TV history. And don't forget to switch off your computer.....Goodnight!
