IPL season 2 schedule unveiled: Description

Chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Lalit Modi, speaking exclusively to TIMES NOW on Thursday (March 26) revealed the schedule of the second edition of the cash-rich Twenty20 tournament. Modi told TIMES NOW that the opening match and final of the second edition of IPL, shifted overseas to South Africa, are to be held at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town and the Wanderers in Johannesburg respectively on April 18 and May 24.Modi speaking on the venues of the tournament said that the matches would be held in 8 venues, like held in the 1st edition.The semi finals are to be held on May 22 and 23 in Pretoria and Johannesburg respectively, as per the full schedule of the Twenty20 League.
