Ironside-In Search of an Artist

When Chief Ironside (Raymond Burr) discovers a new painting in a San Francisco gallery strongly resembling the work of the late Denny Fielder (William Burns), he begins an investigation of the artist’s death. Leona Stuart Fielder (Lorraine Gary), the daughter of former gangland chief Jack Stuart (Broderick Crawford) is an alcoholic widow — just as she was an alcoholic and unfaithful wife. Stuart threatens Ironside if he continues to rake up the unsavory past, but the gangster begins to have doubts of his son-in-law's death by suicide, since the body was never found. Ironside and his staff reconstruct the murder for which Fielder would have been tried and reach some unsavory conclusions. Lisabeth Hush also guest stars.
