generally, both parties involved in police beatings are at fault. police shouldnt beat anyone unless they're trying to kill an officer. but seriously... cops are insane...just DO WHAT THEY SAY.

That cop went way to far. If you hit people they are going to defend themselves in anyway possible. Now the cop is lying and changing her story around. That is why people have no respect for cops.

Not all police, sheriff deputies, guards and ICE AGENTS? are this way. Only the corrupt ones take this course of action. There was no physical action being taken by Ms. Pourmaghani to warrant this type of action. Take her down, OK; beat her, no.

Wow, if that was my sister/mother in that video, the cop would be 6 ft under right now.

They do stuff like this and worst like the Abner Luweema deal and hide behind unions and corrupt higher ups and wonder why they get called pigs. The judges of course try to stay on the police side because after all they're checks come from the same place and this is what we get. Absolute power corrupts, absolutely. These things someday and I hope soon is going to cause a revolution.

I have known this friend of mine way before he was a cop. Let me tell you his life style was not one a mother would be proud of. He's lucky he just never got caught. Others, on the other hand aren't so lucky. I agree, they do need a series of backround checks. Not to mention periodical urinalisys

Yes, paradodge, that's the way all of these types excuse their atrocities. The value of all life is equal and the value of all pain and danger is equal, to both the prisoner and the prison guard. The prison guard decided to be a prison guard and they accept the risk. The prisoner decided (in some cases)to break the law and becomes a prisoner. But, the prison guards have all of the power and all of the resources for enforcement. Brute cruelty and force should ALWAYS be a last resort.

Ms. Pourmaghani was clearly disorderly and took advantage of not being under restraint in the first place. The officer performed her job in a manner which protected herself and others within the jail.

Goes to show you, how SOME people let authority go to their heads. People applying for this kind of work should be psycologicly screened. Not once but two or three times, and a very profound backround check done from adolesence to the time of acceptance.
