Her father's trip to China gives Maya her first chance to put the entire magaz...ine together herself. And while proud of the changes she's made, when Jack returns, he points out a number of obvious problems that must be addressed before it can be sent to the printer. Then, as Jack is distributing the many gifts he bought for his staff, Maya is surprised to find she's getting a bag of strange candy he bought from a Chinese cab driver. Meanwhile, Nina is stunned to learn that the man she picked up in a nearby bar was really a pickpocket. After everyone samples the unusual candy, strange things begin to happen. Diagnosing their symptoms, Nina concludes that the Lemon Wacky Hello is some kind of hallucinogen. Although Maya tells everyone to go home and wait out the drug's effects, a decision to stay just long enough to make a few minor changes in the magazine results in all her hard work being destroyed. In the midst of their collective, unplanned drug experience, Maya and the staff are forced to reassemble the magazine's scattered pages. But, as Finch tries convincing an exterminator that the building is crawling with snakes and Jack entertains Elliott and Maya with a puppet show, a police officer arrives to take Nina's statement. Determined to get the magazine back in shape, Maya struggles to keep working despite the drug's effects. And once the symptoms have diminished, she is delighted to learn that Jack thinks her first issue is nothing short of perfect.
