All eyes will be on freshman OJ Mayo and Michael Beasley but which freshman will get the most support from teammates?? We need to look at the team surrounding each player and right now USC is playing better team basketball and team defense than Kansas St. Kansas St has fallen off form since beating Kansas over a month ago. Kansas St are losers of 5 of their last 7 and allowing teams to shoot at high percentage. OJ Mayo isnt all of USCs offense and Michael Beasley is for the Wildcats. Beasley put up 44 against Baylor and 39 against Kansas all resulting in losses. What does that say about the team surrounding him?? Which team in the Pac 10 allows the lowest shooting percentage to their opponents?? I am sure many will guess Stanford, UCLA and Washington St and no one would guess USC. Thats right, USC allows only 39.1% shooting making them the best defense team in the Pac 10. That says a lot about Tim Floyd as head coach with a freshman superstar OJ Mayo on his team battling the Arizonas, Washington Sts, Stanfords, Oregons and UCLAs 2 to 3 times this season. UCLA did not get to 40% shooting in three meetings this season. I will take Tim Floyd against a 1-man team. Enough, Take USC 2.5. USC is the absolute NUTS and my best play on Thursday. Selection: USC 2.5
