Maine Voters Reject Gay Marriage Law

It is a sin in God's eyes to live like that.!!! Period. Thats why

God loves all but also has the right o lay down the rules as Creator of life and Marriage as to ************** consist of for the betterment of society and humanity and His plans.

I AM FROM MAINE AND LIVE HERE AND AM APPAULED THAT QUESTION 5 (MEDICAL MARIJUANA PASSED BUT EQUALITY FOR HUMAN BEINGS DID NOT. IT GIVE PEOPLE A GREAT PICTURE OF WHERE WE ARE AND WHERE WE ARE HEADED.

Then I could not stand being unhappy with myself so I left the church knowing they would not accept me even though I did so much and loved doing it. Please look at both sides before you form an opinion. Remember the bible does say not to cast judgment on others, only God can do that. So leave it to God. Thank you!

We did it to African Americans and now to people because of their personal business. Please America look at this situation. Can you really say it is fair? Why would anyone want to denie any couple a right to be recognized? Think it would be said for couples to be committed together and when one passes on, the other would be left without any support. Please I use to be so active in my church at a very young age.

The media is to blame for making it a big deal. It is no one’s business except those people getting married or whatever you would like to call it. For all you religious people, please ask yourself would god want you to stop and waste your time with something that does not pertain to you. Would god want you to hate another person? We need to look into history of our country. We need to stop hating people.

This is very sad news. I’m a 21 year old gay man and I don’t understand something. Why do people care if someone across the country gets married? It is personal, no one else's business. So why should anyone care about two guys or girls making a lifelong bond. No gets on the news and announces all the st8 weddings. No one cares. We all need to be treated equally. We should not look to people how who they kiss or how they live.

if we were just talking about rights then there would be no issue . the problem is the word marriage it challenges over 90% of this countries beliefs. when i say equal rights i mean equal benefits and some type of legal standing. It is an interesting topic...how would children be taught and influened? Lets not forget you can still love and be with whoever you want. It is alot worse in other super powers that tell you how to love let alone live.

I thought this was America land of freedom, Where all people have equal protection under the law. How did a majority feel they had the right to vote on the rights of a minority. In many places if it were put to a vote to reinstate slavery that would pass as well. Shame on all who need to feel better than gay people.
