    Marsis, 2006 yılında Korhan Özyıldız ve Ceyhun Demir tarafından İstanbul’da kuruldu. Adını Kaçkar Dağları'nın endamlı bir zirvesi olan Marsis'den aldı. Bir sene sonra Nisan ayında diğer üyelerininin de katılımıyla 6 kişiden oluşan kadrosuyla, Çernobil faciasının yıldönümü nedeniyle Kadıköy Meydanı'nda düzenlenen etkinlikte ilk ciddi konserini verdi. Karadeniz müziğinin enerjisi ile Rock'ın asi ruhunu harmanlayan grup özellikle sahne performanslarıyla dikkat çekmektedir. Grubun kendi adını taşıyan ilk solo albümü Kalan Müzik tarafından yayınlandı.
