It once was the only road that connected Bismarck-Mandan... Now, Memorial Highway in Mandan could see some changes.. Planners are taking a look at the road and nearby land to study the future of the area. Bob Shannon with Kadrmas Lee and Jackson says one of the main issues is access for both pedistrians and vehicles. He says another issue that will have to be addressed is the idea of connecting the "Strip" with Main Street. (Bob Shannon/ Kadrmas Lee & Jackson) "But it does have it’s own distinct business and development flavor so we have to balance what the community wants and see and what the businesses want and see to determine if that is going to be a pure extension of main street look and feel or should it celebrate it's own identity." A public input meeting will be held on November 19th from five to eight in the evening at Prairie West Golf Course.
