Metalworkz Mesh Drum Heads Sensitivity Problem

Metalworkz Mesh Drum Heads. I installed these on a stock Rock Band 1 EL kit and the sensitivity is clearly faulty. The stock heads work better than the mesh heads. I don’t know if it's because I'm using a stock EL kit, but I do know that this is not how they are supposed to work.
