Ainda não há informações sobre a causa da morte. O coreógrafo francês Maurice Béjart criou o "Balé para a Vida", sobre pessoas que morreram muito cedo. Ele teve como inspiração a morte do vocalista do Queen, Freddie Mercury, e de seu principal bailarino, Jorge Donn. Ambos faleceram de Aids aos 45 anos. Mozart morreu aos 35. "Eu amo a música do Queen", disse Béjart. "Amo Freddie Mercury, e é exatamente como criar um balé com Stravinsky", disse.
