Nathan Fillion: From TV Doc to TV Author

Nathan Fillion turned in his stirrups for his role as a gynecologist on "Desperate Housewives" to play best-selling mystery author Rick Castle on ABC’s new romantic comedy-mystery series, "Castle." The show has been compared by critics to "Moonlighting," because of the dynamics between the two central characters: Rick Castle and NYPD Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) — where Kate is the straight cop to Castle's playful writer. She also serves as his muse for a new character he is creating. "I have heard the comparison and I think it is fair," Nathan jokes with ET. "I often say our show is 'Moonlighting' crossed with 'Murder She Wrote,' having not really remembered 'Moonlighting,' and never seen 'Murder She Wrote.'"
