Nestle to Expand Even More in Indiana

On Tuesday, August 12 Nestle announced its plans to expand its new $359 million production facility outside of Indianapolis, Indiana. The company was already in the hiring 300 employees and has decided to invest $200 million to expand and hire an additional 135 workers. The plant is looking to hire engineering, technical support, production and warehouse staff. Employees are expected to receive wages at an average of $20 per hour. This is Neslte’s fourth major investment in the state of Indiana and the facility will manufacture and distribute Nesquick flavored milk and Coffee-mate creamer. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Nestle up to $1.325 million in performance-based tax credits and up to $50,000 in training grants. Nestle employs more than 14,000 workers in the US, has 20 manufacturing facilities, and had more than $8.25 billion in sales for 2007. http://www.EmploymentCrossing.com
