'Innocent' mother dies in attack A mother-of-three died after she was struck by a glass bottle while she was enjoying a drink in a pub. Police said Emma O'Kane, 27, was the innocent victim of an argument involving a man who had been refused entry to the pub. She suffered a severe neck injury in the incident at 0200 GMT at the Queen Anne Hotel on Market Street, Heywood, Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Police said Ms O' Kane was hit by a shard of glass and died in hospital.
