Primo Carnera vs Jack Sharkey ( 1° and 2°round)

FIRST ROUNDSharkey missed a right for thehead. Carnera ripped a right up-percut to the jaw at close quarters.Sharkey sent a sharp straight leftto the head. They sparred for somemoments at long range. Sharkeyrushed Carnera and the latterthrew the champion to one side.Sharkey would have fallen if it werenot for the ropes. Carnera strucktwo lefts to the face and Sharkeyrushed to pound the body with bothhands. Sharkey missed a left forthe head, slipped and nearly fellheadlong through the ropes. Car-nera crashed a heavy right to thejaw and missed a left to the body.Sharkey was short with a left butlanded a hard right to the jaw.SECOND ROUND Sharkey hooked a left to the body,then clinched. Sharkey sent aright to the mid-section, but took aright to the jaw. Sharkey misseda right to the head and theyclinched. Carnera stabbed a longleft to Sharkey's head, then Shar-key whipped a hard right to thejaw. The champion drove anotherright, which landed high on Car-nera's head. Carnera was shortwith a right, but struck a left intoSharkey's face. Carnera was shortwith a left to the head and Sharkeyclosed in to hold. The championdealt a right into Carnera's bodyand the latter held.
