iReport — meet the Duke The Wild West is alive in Second Life and gives strong unfiltered life signs to the community. I can´t fight the feeling that John Wayne turns the verynext moment with a big grin around the corner. Its a place where the good guys wear white hats while fighting for an endangered heroine. A place and time where citizens went to the west, full of hopes and enthusiasm and a time of chaos too. Places in the prairie to be filled with life, chaos that may create opportunities and may create newstructures or a new society, the long dreamed utopia has found a birthplace, lets see what people made out of it. Before i enter the Role play sim my 21st century Second Life has to undergo a major transformation if i want to be accepted in the 19th century Tombstone. The professional made welcome area offers a wide array of free outfits and an extensive set ofinformation with tight woven rules. Finally i was dressed in a long black skirt and white blouse i called for the so called "Tombstone greeter" and expected a warm welcome, to my surprise it was a blunt: "your outfit is too modern", none of my outfits could find his benevolence till i finally dressed in my most ugly gown, the one i hide deep inside my inventory and that escaped by pure chance several clean up attempts. With a lavishly gesture i get finally my Tombstone membershipand i am ready for the Role play. My first interaction with the citizens of Tombstone is inside the Bird Cage Theater where the "Melodrama" is played in a lovely Role play inside a Role play in a Simulation.The "Melodrama" is a huge success and earns standing ovations from the audience. Tombstone offers a wonderful clarity about the hierarchy and the purpose of life. The mayor runs the town with the friendly aid of the Marshall and the Cavalry women have job opportunities in the huge Tombstone amusement quarter or as a humblehousewife.
