Add a CommentPhony or not - the act of riding a shark (with hooks) for the sheer fun of it is arrogant & cruel. Not very many people understand how infected the mouth becomes with hooks still trapped in it. In Los Angeles you can see it with the pelicans. Wounds potentially tear open and bleed because of the animals activity. If this guy really wants to show something - I'd like to see him try riding the surf with a real harness. THAT would be more daring

If this IS real, the dude is a moron for chumming for sharks in an area populated by surfers - Allowing sharks to associate food with people is a very, very bad idea.

Could be real, the shark won't bother with the others if he has a big piece of beef in his mouth. The Surfers weren't phased, maybe they knew what was going on. Looks real either way.
